Wiki & Coco

A rare shot of our two dogs Wiki, & Coco. This is a rare photo because they are usually NOT standing still! I happened to be following them with the camera waiting on an acceptable shot, when a sudden noise made them stop and turn toward me to investigate. Their usual routine is to chase each other at full speed around the yard, which makes photographing them together extremely difficult!

New Portrait set from 9/4/2010

Testing out the new Homemade Beauty Dish. I have been experimenting in some Strobist Photography, (using a speedlight off-camera) and wanted to test out the new Beauty Dish.
This shot is with the Canon 580EX II mounted in the beauty dish and fired from camera left about 5 ft. from the model.
This proves to be an excellent source of "fill" flash and really brings up the shadows! It provides a very "wide" light source that varies in intensity depending on distance and power. This shot used about 1/2 power from the flash!

Here's a shot from the St. Augustine Florida Alligator Farm. You can walk through the farm and see alligators,and all sorts of birds in their aviary! The Alligators are kept separate from the birds for their safety. It is an excellent place to visit if your in the St. Augustine area!

For Sale !!!!!

This house was "For Sale" when I took this pic for a Realtor friend in Tennessee. Not sure of the status now, but it turned out to be a great exterior shot!
I like the upward looking angle to the shot (necessary due to the elevation of the house). It overlooks the lake from the top of a hill inside the subdivision.

Frog Fountain

This is one of the four Frog fountains at the Dallas Arboretum. They line up opposite each other and shoot back toward the center of a circular fountain area! They stand about 6 feet tall, and the kids love to play on them!
If you are ever visiting Dallas, this is an excellent place to view the flowers in the spring!
