Testing out the new Homemade Beauty Dish. I have been experimenting in some Strobist Photography, (using a speedlight off-camera) and wanted to test out the new Beauty Dish.
This shot is with the Canon 580EX II mounted in the beauty dish and fired from camera left about 5 ft. from the model.
This proves to be an excellent source of "fill" flash and really brings up the shadows! It provides a very "wide" light source that varies in intensity depending on distance and power. This shot used about 1/2 power from the flash!
